Architect Gabriella Giuntoli has created many outstanding villas on the island – each a work of art – but Nemo has something more, perhaps because Nemo is the result of a collaboration between Giuntoli and the owner, woman of great taste. The large garden (about 8 hectares) is brimming with personality, full of different moods, aspects, even memories, and is surrounded by 4 dammusi which converge on a huge eliptical swimming pool surrounded by a brilliant white solarium (though there is shade for those who want it). The sea views from here are incredible. Within the original cisterns next to the dammusi exotic ‘relax areas’ have been created, strewn with cushions. The central pavilion is the perfect place for an aperitif at sunset, or a magical dinner lit by lanterns. An enchanting place – in which cinema and music stars of international repute have frequently been guests – Nemo is a villa you will never forget.
