Contemporary in concept, but inspired by the island’s traditional architecture, the Villa lies in extensive grounds bounded by ancient drystone tufa walls. The garden, with cactus rockeries and recently planted trees, extends for 15,000 square metres. It has been designed with several distinct areas: there is a sunken dining and barbeque area, a lazing zone and a small but exquisite swimming pool built of local tufa. And in case that’s not enough, there is also a roof terrace with splendid views over the island to the sea and mainland Sicily.
It consists of two Modernist cuboids with huge windows, linked by a roofed and furnished patio which forms an elegant outdoor salone, perfect for evening drinks or candlelit dinners. The first building houses the kitchen, a living area with fireplace, and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The second unit holds another pleasant living room with open kitchen, and two bedrooms, one double, one twin, each with ensuite bathroom.
