The villa is a few kilometres from the magnficient Baroque town of Ragusa, and about 15 minutes’ drive from the coast at Scoglitti, set in a landscape much loved by cinematographers – indeed it is this landscape, with its low-lying scrub, dry-limestone walls and ancient olive and carob trees that forms the backdrop for the Inspector Montalbano TV series.
The Villa is on two levels. In the ground floor living room huge glass windows interweave with drystone walls, revealing wonderful views over the countryside to the sea and the splendid Castello di Donnafugata, a landscape that changes colour with the season and time of day. On a clear day you can see as far as Mount Etna and Malta. Opening off the living area is a well-equipped kitchen. Three of the bedrooms have double beds and ensuite bathrooms; the third is a twin with small bathroom and useful little laundry area.
There is a large swimming pool with outdoor shower, and various furnished outdoor spaces to make outdoor living comfortable at all hours of the day. There is also a wonderful vegetable garden, from which guests are welcome to help themselves.
This villa is screened by vegetation from its twin, Villa Accabbanna, guaranteeing both privacy, but providing a perfect solution for groups of twelve or two large families.
Each villa has its own pool.
